I'm 33 and just got fired from the longest job I've ever had (5+ years). I made a mistake, took responsibility, and was given another chance only to have my boss change his mind and terminate my employment 3 weeks later. I am full of rage in a way I haven't experienced before. I am terrified my former boss will go out of his way to jeopardize my ability to get a new job (he's done it before). I spent five years of my life running this man's business for him, essentially, and now I'm afraid he will ruin my future.
